Dining In Palm Springs
Always interesting to see what the visitors perspective on Palm Springs is! Here is a list of new places to Dine in Palm Springs recommended by the LA area food blog LA eater.
Perhaps we will see some of these fine spots participate in Palm Springs Restaurant week the First week of June. Many area restaurants offer 3 course dinners for special set prices to give you an opportunity to sample all the great choices out there.
Almost as interesting as what is new is what has closed. While many restaurants open and close quickly it is rare to see the really popular places close. The last year or so we have seen some popular establishments close such as The Red Tomato, Hamburger Marys, Lyons, Daveys Hideaway, Acqua Pazza and even the Palm Springs location of California Pizza Kitchen.
Lastly, another interesting thing to watch will be the new hotels that are slated to open soon. What sort of dining options will they offer. Already the Hard Rock hotel has brought in Celebrity Chef Kerry Simon with his Simon Kitchen. Will Palm Springs become another Las Vegas in the dining category with Celebrity Chefs opening up more venues in the area? It will be fun to watch and enjoy all the great eats no matter which way it goes.

Joshua Tree Park Like you have never seen it before! Even if you have been many times skip forward in the video to about 3:15 and look at the scenes with the night stars. What a beautiful resource we have so close to Palm Springs. It does not matter if you are visiting the area, live here already or are just looking for homes for sale in Palm Springs CA - there is always something amazing to see.
MTJP | Joshua Tree from More Than Just Parks on Vimeo.
MTJP | Joshua Tree is the culmination of nearly a month spent exploring Joshua Tree National Park. We chose Joshua Tree because of its unique landscape. Its immense boulder piles, colorful cactus fields, endless desert expanses, and one-of-a-kind Joshua trees make for a spectacular setting. This film was shot entirely in 4K.

New Jumbo sized home in the Desert Park Estates Neighborhood of Palm Springs. This large home is in great condition and offers many advantages over other area properties. Best of all it is priced under market from the get go at $389,900!
From the ornamental entry gate, to mosaic tile accents, half bath, huge kitchen and separate den and huge private covered patio - every part of this home is welcoming and spacious. In fact it is over 2100 square feet in size. This is easily 300 square feet bigger than most homes in the immediate area. (See all photos on the property website at http://listings.realbird.com/B8B2F5D8/372978.aspx
The Desert Park Estates neighborhood features homes from the 50's through the 2000's with most of the homes having been built in the 1980's and 1990's. This home bridges the gap with a construction date of 1989. Bordered on the West by Sunrise, On the East by Whitewater and the South by Vista Chino it is a large neighborhood and has many peaceful streets with an eclectic mix of homes. There are a few vacant lots sprinkled through the neighborhood but not too many. Exclusively residential this area is served by shopping centers on the corner of Sunrise and Vista Chino.
The neighborhood of Desert Park Estates is about 8-10 minutes from the heart of downtown Palm Springs by car. However, other shopping, dining and entertainment options are even closer. The trade-off in distance is more than made up for by the tranquility and the lack of any homeowners dues or lease land in this neighborhood. One of the most consistently affordable neighborhoods in Palm Springs is it time to consider your next place in the Sun in Desert Park Estates?
