May 5th is of course Cinco De Mayo - which is very important of course but in Palm Springs it is the equally Important Evening Under the Stars. In its' 19th year this event is the AIDS Assistance Program's annual fundraiser which generates a major portion of their operating budget for the Food Voucher Program. The event takes place at the O'Donnell Golf Club in Palm Springs, right behind the Hyatt downtown. Not only is it a beautiful setting it is a great central location for such a fun event.
Past years have seen everyone from The B-52's to Barry Manilow and Suzanne Sommers perform but this year Evening Under The Stars will feature the music of the all-female rock band The Go-Go's. The actress, the lovely, Lainie Kazan will act as Mistress of Ceremonies. The menu for the event is being created by Celebrity Chef Susan Feniger.
Dancing, dinner and entertainment under the stars in downtown Palm Springs all for a great cause! How could you not want to go?
