Palm Springs' Restaurant Week 2013

Enjoy a taste of some of the very best food in the valley during this two week long celebration of the Culinary Arts. Restaurants will offer a set menu 3 course dinner for either $26 or $38 dollars.  

Now is your chance to try out some of the places you always see but have not had a chance to try. Perhaps you were unsure about them.  This program offers you a great opportunity to expand your dining horizons and have some fun while you are at it!

Food and Wine Festival

A Food and Wine Festival sounds pretty good to me! Who doesn't love food and wine? Am I Right? This is an easy sell in my book. In Palm Desert this fun event offers not just seminars and wine and food tastings but celebrity and local chef demos. So much fun!

When?:

Friday the 22nd Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th of March.

Sarah Moulton & Luciano Pellegrini are the celebrity
Chefs this year but are complemented by a whole host of other Chefs & food experts such as Andrew Copley, Drew Davis, Tanya Holland, Warren Cordoba, Maria Schmidt, Daniel Joly, Sharone Hakman, Mark Van Laanen, Julie Pech, Andre Carthen, Jesse Souza, Jamie Gwen and Martin Yan Wine Glass

And if all these great folks aren't enough for you you can enjoy tastings from some 50 local eateries. Heck, even the Irish Dairy Board is going to be there!

So after you enjoy the great food and wine festival you just might find yourself doing some shopping! El Paseo feature luxury retailers sucha s Sax Fifth Avenue, Tiffany's And the Apple Store along with many others.

Food Truck Dining In Palm Springs

If you thought food trucks were only for construction workers in the big city and only served scary food you would never really want to eat then you have been missing something! (Okay...I admit it...so have I!) I guess gourmet food out of a lunch wagon, a Roach Coach a restaurant on wheels is all the rage!

This Saturday in Palm Springs at the Spa ResortCasino Downtown you can pick and choose from some 40 different trucks to dine from! You have to buy a ticket in advance to even get in so hurry to their website. The Food Truck festival will feature some of the hottest food around that just happens to be on wheels!
So come on and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having and get some unique food this weekend in Palm Springs.

Palm Desert Food And Wine Festival March 23-25 2012

Experience a world-class dining and wine tasting event right here in the Desert. Featuring celebrity chefs Sara Moulton - Mark Peel - Andre Carthen - Tony Di Lembo - Aaron Burns and many more. Local restaurants with favorites such as Copley's, The Cork Tree, Davey's Hideaway, Mr Parker's, Trio, Tropicale, Pacifica  and many more will all be participating in the event.

The Food & Wine Festival - Palm Desert will gather the brightest and most inspired chefs from California for two extraordinary days of culinary and wine tasting. This event is educational in focus and showcases the Coachella Valley as a culinary destination.

Enjoy everything from a  sit down 4-course gourmet luncheon  hosted by celebrity chefs to Fine Wines, featuring the Young’s Market-The Estates Group experience Fine Dining at its best from over 45 of the top award-winning restaurants and their accompanying chefs from throughout California.

This Festival  benefits the premiere culinary school in the United States, the Culinary Institute of America’s Endowed Scholarship Fund.  The college awards bachelor’s and associate degrees, as well as certificates and continuing education units.

Tamale Festival Dec 3-4 2011

Voted in the top ten Food Festivals in The USA the Tamale Festival in Indio is a real treat.



The Festival takes place from 10am to 6pm each day and is located between Highway 111 and Indio Blvd. There will be many activities and events in addition to the the delicious Tamales. You can visit the Festival Site for more information

Rancho Mirage Art Affaire This Weekend

9:30am to 4:00PM In Whitewater Park

This fun filled two-day event is a juried art show and jazz festival. There will be food for sale from local restaurants and a wine and Beer Garden. This will be the 11th year for the event which gets a little bigger and more exciting each year. There will be about 100 award-winning artists in a variety of artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, ceramics and jewelry. Smooth Jazz music with featured performers Matt Marshak and Shilts on stage.

The Art Affaire is presented FREE by the City of Rancho Mirage Parks and Recreation Commission. Whitewater Park is located at 71-560 San Jacinto Drive in Rancho Mirage.

Palm Springs Restaurant Week June 3-12


If you have been to the Desert recently you know our culinary landscape is popping with revamped favorites and many new ones. For 7 days in June many of the Palm Springs areas best eateries are participating in a fun event called Restaurant Week. Diners will have a choice of three course meals at fixed priced of either $24 or $36, depending on the restaurant. What a great opportunity to try out some new places and revisit old favorites. Food and Wine Festival Palm Desert March 26-27, 2011

The second annual Food and Wine Festival Palm Desert is scheduled for the fourth weekend of March this year.  Held in conjunction with Palm Deserts' week long El Paseo Fashion week  - the town is sure to be full of all the best in Wardrobe - Wine and waistline expanding eats!  

There will be Celebrity chefs, Food Network Personalities, cooking demonstrations and premium wine samplings.  Slated to appear are Chefs Jimmy Schmidt, Roy Yamaguchi, Paul Bertolli and Bradley Ogden.   The Culinary Institue Of America is a co-sponsor and this year the the event benefits their Scholarship fund as well as the James Beard Foundation.

Riverside County Fair held in Indio Feb 18-17 2011

The Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival is  February 18 – 27, 2011 in Indio! 

Admission remains unchanged this year (Adults $8) and there are a couple of opportunities to get an even better deal!

Opening Friday, February 18, 2011, admission will be free from 10am to 3pm. This will mark the third year the Fair has given back to the community by creating this opportunity for their attendees.  A special "thank you" to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, the Fair's Presenting Sponsor, for creating "Fantasy $5 Friday" which will be February 25, 2011.

The Fair features many attractions and events with fantastic food, great exhibits, many carnival rides and headliner  entertainment (included in the admission price) the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival is ten days of fun.

Latin recording artist, Luz Rios , Third Eye Blind , American Idol  Kellie Pickler and  Switchfoot all presented by Fantasy Springs Casino.

Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week June 4-13 2010

Featuring over 50 Restaurants, this great idea is tasty and simple! Each participating establoishment will be opne for business as usual. However, in addition to regular menu items they will have a selection of three course prix fixe meals there are two tiers of the fix priced $24 or $36 and each restaurant decided which category they will be in.

This is a great way to celebrate some of the wonderful dining establishments we have in the desert and to try something new and different. Get more information on participating restaurants at their website
