Palm Springs Featured In Travel and Leisure
The December 2011 issue of Travel + Leisure magazine has a great
article on Palm Springs.
Starting on page 176 the article is more than the usual top ten list of Palm Springs attractions. There is also an emphasis on the attractions of our nearby High Desert.

Parade Of Lights Dec 3rd
One of the real treats of the holiday season is always the Parade of Lights in Palm Springs, now in its' 20th year. This year reserve Saturday night the 3rd of December for your trip to see this amazing display. So stake out your spot on Palm Canyon drive because all the fun starts at 5:45pm This years Grand Marshal is Carol Channing.

Tamale Festival Dec 3-4 2011
Voted in the top ten Food Festivals in The USA the Tamale Festival in Indio is a real treat.
The Festival takes place from 10am to 6pm each day and is located between Highway 111 and Indio Blvd. There will be many activities and events in addition to the the delicious Tamales. You can visit the Festival Site for more information

Walk Of The Inns December 8 2011
Mark your calendar now and don't miss this fun - and FREE - event. See 16 of the charming Inns located in the Tennis Club neighborhood behind downtown Palm Springs. Full of surprises these charming and unique properties are sure to delight and surprise you.

Location: Neighborhoods between Ramon Road and Tahquitz Canyon Way right behind downtown Palm Springs
The event is a self-guided walking tour of Palm Springs’boutique hotels and historic inns. These historic and mid-century modern gems are opening their doors for public tours as part of its annual ‘Walk of the Inns.” You will see everything From 100-year old adobe inns to 1920s jewels to Mediterranean inspired villas, the “Walk of the Inns” is a great way to see something normally reserved for paying guests. Inns participating in the event include Casa Cody, Old Ranch Inn, Orbit Inn, Korakia Pensione, Calla Lilly Inn and several others. You can start your self-guided tour at any of the participating hotels or come to the Palm Springs Art Museum, 101 Museum Way, which will provide free maps and flashlights for the walk. Donations for Toys For Tots will be taking place at the event.
