Coachella Music and Arts Festival 2 Big Weekends

Festival Expansion: This April will see the festival, for the first time,  expand to two entire three day weekends of Music and events. April 13-15 and 20-22.  Bringing thousands of music lovers to the Coachella Valley the event is a major post season boom to tourism to be sure. Held at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio CA this international musical event has been going on since 2001.

While the majority of the acts tend to be alternative music favorites major headliners have appeared every year at the festival. 2012 will see DR Dre Snoop Dog, Radio Head and The Black Keys.  Past years have seen the likes of Madonna, Paul McCartney and Prince.

Bankruptcy and Property Liens

Many homeowners, under stress from mounting debts and facing possible foreclosure opt for Bankruptcy as a strategy to handle their debts. Popular wisdom is this is the way to wipe the slate clean and start all over.

One of the problems with this scenario is the lien on the property can remain post Bankruptcy.

Home Owner Property Tax Exemption For CA

California property owners are entitled to claim a property tax exemption of $7,000.  Have you filed for yours?  It must be your primary residence and you must have owned it on January 1st in the year in which you filed. However, if you meet those two criteria you should be able to qualify.
