College Campus In Palm Springs?
The City council voted this week to approve the purchase of 119 acres of land on the north side of Palm Springs to build a west valley branch of the College of the desert.
See elevations and drawings of the proposed campus
The groundbreaking is anticipated to be in 2012 and the first academic year to start in 2014.
The campus would have a green focus even including a solar panel field.
If built as represented it would surely create an impressive entrance to Palm Springs. The estimated student body counting full and part time students would approach 20,000.
