Announced this week was the inclusion of Palm Deserts Sandpiper and Marrakesh Country Clubs in to the 2013 Modernism Week event. This ever growing event will take place in February 2013 as always and will now branch out to the east end of the valley with these two neighborhoods in Palm Desert.On the retail front the Town Center Way shopping plaza announced signing two long sought after retailers. Whole Foods will make a 2014 appearance in the old Best Buy location and will be joined by Nordstroms Rack - the clearance house for the famous Nordstroms department store chain. The whole shopping center is slated for an overall in advance of these two major retailers moving in.
I continue to hear rave reviews of the Aquatic Center which debuted in the summer of last year. Learn more about Palm Deserts' Aquatic center on the city web site. Opened in March of this year was Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert Located at 72-567 Highway 111 Located at Entrada del Paseo at the westernmost intersection of Highway 111 and El Paseo this innovative green building host temporary exhibits and features classes and lectures and events.
